The box is not built. Prices, dates, specifications and performance figures on this site are engineering targets for a reference design, not shipping specifications, and the figures drawn on the phone and television screens are illustrations rather than measurements. What the software does today, and what it does not, is listed claim by claim.

HomeWith the box

Your smart home, with a brain in the house.

The radios are in the chassis. Devices pair once, routines run inside, and everything keeps answering when the internet does not, because it never needed it.1

RadiosWith the box

Matter, Thread and Zigbee. No dongles.

Woven Core is a Thread border router, a Matter controller and a Zigbee coordinator in one enclosure, with antennas placed for a home and not for a server rack. Z-Wave is available by USB where the region calls for it.

Native Home Assistant runs inside. Anything you have already set up carries over.

  • Matter over Thread, Wi-Fi and Ethernet
  • Thread border router with fabric migration
  • Zigbee coordinator with key backup
  • Home Assistant inside, with one-tap add-ons

A routine, with its receipt

“I’m leaving for dinner.”

Three seconds, seven steps, one receipt. The lock is a class D action, so Tandem checks presence before it moves. Nothing here needed the internet.

OfflineWith the box

Unplug the internet. The house still listens.

Voice, intent, home control and private memory run on the box. When the connection drops, supported devices keep responding and routines keep firing. Features that need the Outside are marked unavailable instead of pretending.

When the connection returns, queued sync resumes without repeating an action.

  • Voice inside: wake word, speech and intent on the NPU
  • Sub-second light and lock commands on the LAN
  • Routines and occupancy rules run on the box
  • Honest state: live, stale or offline, always labelled

CamerasWith the box

Detection, alerts and archives that stay home.

People, packages, cars and pets are detected on the NPU. Clips are saved to the box under a retention you set. Nothing is uploaded to be analysed.

There is no facial recognition in the first release, by design.

  • Detection inside, with per-camera zones
  • Retention quotas you control
  • Works with RTSP and ONVIF cameras you already own
  • Hardware privacy indicator on the front of the box

The biggest screen in the house, finally yours.

One HDMI cable. Your photos, your movies and your cameras on the television, with Tandem a word away. Your phone is the remote, or your voice is.

Nothing you watch, browse or ask is reported to anyone, because nothing on the screen ever leaves the box.

What stands behind this page

  1. 1With the boxNot built. Home control runs today against a simulated set of devices so the permissions, approvals and receipts can be exercised honestly. No radio has been fitted and no real device has been switched.
  2. 2Available nowBuilt and tested. Receipts form a hash chain; changing or removing one breaks the chain, and the box checks it nightly and on demand.
  3. 3With the boxNot built. There is no camera capture in the software. The dashboard says so when it is connected to a real Core.
  4. 4With the boxPartly built. Photos, video and music play from the box in a browser today. The HDMI output, the living-room interface and the remote arrive with the box.
  5. 5With the boxNot built. The Network page reads what the Mac can see of the network it is on. There is no router and no second processor.

Every claim on this site is listed with what stands behind it on the what is real page.
